Special Benefit Concert to be Given by 'One Step Away' at Hard Rock Cafe Boston on November 15, 2009 for Children's Hospital Boston and The Jared Coppola Fund
On November 15, 2009 5-7pm, emerging band 'One Step Away' will give Concert at the Hard Rock Cafe to benefit The Jared Coppola Fund and Children's Hospital Boston. Award-winning 'One Step Away' is a Boston rock band comprised of high school juniors.

ANDOVER, MA, October 26, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Formed in July of 2007, One Step Away has a fresh new sound that is exponentially growing their fanbase. Drawing from many influences, their award-winning sound features powerful vocals and extraordinary instrumentals.

On November 15, 2009, One Step Away will be raising funds for The Jared Coppola Fund and Children's Hospital Boston. Special Guest, Tim Gibson of Andover, will open for One Step Away at this concert.

When One Step Away band members Alex Kwmuntis and Terence Healy heard of the severe spinal injury sustained by Jared Coppola their classmate at St John's Prep, they knew immediately what they wanted to do - a benefit show at the Hard Rock Cafe to raise money for Jared and for Children's Hospital Boston, where Jared had his operation. The band will be donating ticket proceeds, splitting the money 60/40 between the Jared Coppola Fund and Children's Hospital Boston. Donations can also be made at the door.

Jared Coppola, a junior and football cornerback at 'the Prep', suffered a cervical fracture during a football scrimmage. Coppola was taken immediately by ambulance to Children's Hospital in Boston, where Doctors repaired the fracture and stabilized the neck area. In the weeks following surgery, Jared had feeling, but no ability to move. His family, coaches, teammates and friends remain hopeful for a full recovery, but Coppola faces a long rehabilitation period during which medical expenses will continue to mount.

The show at the Hard Rock will be in the Cavern Club Room, which holds up to 300 people. Tickets are $12. Doors open at 4pm. The concert is from 5-7pm. The band will be giving a special sneak preview of songs on their next album, expected later this year.
