The venue also offers excellent dining with menus created by Chef Judith Basso. In keeping with the Bull Run's common sense mission of providing healthy, fresh food and supporting small family farms and the local economy, Judith has forged strong ties with farmers and producers throughout Central Massachusetts. The menus feature all natural, no growth hormone, antibiotic free meats and poultry and sustainable seafood.

"Our seasonal menus use as much local produce as possible and our Bull Run menus vary, according to the season," says Judith. "I would say that 95% of everything on our menu is made right here at Bull Run! I work very closely with Wilkins Farm in Pepperell as well as other local farms and right now we are getting fresh snap peas, summer squashes and zucchini, green and red leaf lettuces, potatoes, strawberries and blueberries. Bull Run also grows some of its own fresh produce--vegetables and herbs! And, since we just launched our fabulous Obadiah's Ice Cream Parlor and the season's berries are coming in for our Bull Run Berry Salad, I am now also making special strawberry and blueberry ice cream toppings and my own caramel as well!"

When your friends and admirers include the likes of Steve Miller, Robert Cray, Bonnie Raitt and Taj Mahal, you've got a fighting chance. Numerous benefits were held in multiple cities including a benefit concert featuring Miller, Cray, Taj Mahal, The Phantom Blues Band, Everclear and Little Charlie & The Nightcats. Through the generosity of Curtis's friends, fellow musicians, the Legendary Blues Cruise and thousands of fans who supported Curtis by attending benefits and auctions or by making private donations, upwards of half a million dollars were raised of the year.and Curtis got his transplant, though there were a few twists and turns in the road before that happened. A little less than two years after his initial diagnosis, Curtis was able to record Clean Getaway, an album whose title has an obvious double meaning. With its release on July 8, 2008, Clean Getaway was a triumph in more ways than one, nominated for four BMA's at the 30th annual Blues Music Awards including Album of the Year and Soul Blues Male Vocalist .
